Color Heat Transfer Machine Use instructions
Respected customers: Thanks for buying and using the color thermal transfer roller machines produced by our company! Before using it, please read this instruction carefully so that you can use it correctly. After reading it, please keep it well for future reference.

1. Working Principle
This machine transfers patterns onto fabrics and other materials by heat and pressure. The sublimation ink printed on thermal transfer paper turns into gas under heat, and then adheres to materials to complete the transfer.
Hot Sublimation: Physically, most substances have three states: solid, liquid and gas. Take water as an example: ice (solid) turns into water (liquid) after heating, and water further turns into steam (gas). The process reverses when cooled. Hot sublimation means a substance changes directly from solid to gas when heated. The reverse process, where gas turns directly into solid when cooled, is called deposition.
This roller heat transfer machine works based on this principle. First, print patterns with sublimation ink on thermal transfer paper and let it dry. Then place the paper together with fabrics into the heated machine. Under the pressure of the blanket and roller as well as the heat from the roller, the ink sublimes and deposits on fabrics to form vivid patterns.
2. Machine Installation
Connect the 220V power cord to the power interface on the rear of the machine chassis. Use a 6 mm² single-core copper cable for the power line, and equip a single-phase ammeter ranging from 20 to 40A.
3. Trial Operation
After connecting the power cord, ground the machine shell and connect the grounding wire, then you can start trial operation.
A. Machine Setting and Preheating (Operate via the control panel)
-
Temperature setting: Adjust the temperature to 260℃ - 340℃ using the "+" and "-" buttons on the temperature controller.
-
Turn the speed switch to gear 3. Adjust the speed knob according to actual printing effects.
-
Set the roller forward/reverse switch to the Forward position.
-
Toggle the power switch at the lower left of the control panel to ON. The display of the temperature controller will light up and show the real-time temperature of the roller.
-
Press the green Start Heating button, and the roller begins to heat up. The green indicator light on the temperature controller turns on, and the displayed temperature rises continuously. When reaching the set temperature, the AC contactor cuts off automatically, the red indicator light lights up and heating stops. After about 20 seconds, the contactor restarts and heating resumes. This cycle maintains a constant roller temperature.
B. Transfer Test
When the temperature displayed on the controller stays at the set value for around 10 minutes, use scrap transfer paper and fabric to test the transfer effect. Adjust parameters according to color density: raise the temperature or reduce the speed if the color is too light; lower the temperature or increase the speed if the color is too dark. The transfer temperature shall be kept between 260℃ and 350℃.
Friendly Suggestion: Adjust temperature and speed gradually. Do not make drastic changes at one time. For beginners, keep the speed and temperature moderate to protect the blanket and ensure transfer quality.
Warning: In case of sudden power failure, turn the hand crank continuously for about 15 minutes to drive the roller rotating and prevent the blanket from burning. Do not turn off the main power until the roller temperature drops to around 100℃.
4. Blanket Adjustment
The blanket may shift left or right due to thermal expansion and contraction during operation. Adjust as follows while facing the machine:
-
If the blanket drifts to the left: Tighten screw A on the left side of the front lower shaft clockwise for half a turn, and loosen screw B on the right side counterclockwise for a quarter turn.
-
If the blanket drifts to the right: Perform the opposite operations.
Warning: Never adjust the blanket too tight or too loose. Excessively tight blanket will overload and damage the motor; excessively loose blanket will cause the blanket to stop running. A proper state: press the rear part of the blanket with 10kg force, and it should move down 2cm.
5. Special Notes
-
Set the speed to gear 3 during heating, and gear 10 during cooling.
-
After finishing transfer work, press the Stop Heating button first. Do not cut off the control circuit power immediately, otherwise the blanket will be burnt. Keep the roller running until the temperature drops to 100℃, then turn off the power.
-
Electrical maintenance must be performed by certified electricians with the power cut off to avoid electric shock and equipment damage.
-
The equipment must be grounded after installation. The grounding resistance shall not exceed 4 ohms, and a 16 mm² grounding wire is required.
6. Maintenance
The roller bearings adopt high-temperature grease. Add grease once a month. Regularly check the bearings through the oil filling holes. Top up grease if leakage or shortage occurs. Use high-temperature grease applicable for -30℃ to 300℃.
7. Warranty
The machine enjoys a one-year warranty under normal operation. Heating quartz tubes are consumables and not covered by the warranty. Please refer to the warranty card for details.
Our company reserves the right to modify the appearance and functions of the machine without prior notice.
